Marc Guéhi struck in the final minutes to earn Crystal Palace a dramatic 2-1 win over Fulham, pushing Oliver Glasner’s side into the Premier League’s top four. Fulham had dominated spells and looked set for a point, but Guéhi met a near-post corner to seal a result that sent the away end into celebration and left Marco Silva frustrated once again against Palace.
Eddie Nketiah opened the scoring on his first league start of the season after Adam Wharton unlocked Fulham’s defence with a clever move down the left. Fulham responded through a brilliant outside-of-the-boot finish from Harry Wilson, but despite long periods of pressure, they struggled to break Palace down again.
The match looked to be heading for a draw until Guéhi, who is expected to leave the club at season’s end, rose to head home the winner late on. It marks Palace’s ninth win under Glasner, who has repeatedly outmanoeuvred Fulham this year despite limited summer reinforcements.
Silva lamented missed chances and a lack of cutting edge, warning his team must show more resilience. Palace, meanwhile, continue their surge despite injuries and a gruelling schedule. “It’s tough,” Guéhi admitted. “We’ve got to recover and go again — we’ve got no choice.”
