West Ham United are preparing an opening bid for Jørgen Strand Larsen.
Manager Nuno Espírito Santo wants attacking reinforcements to aid West Ham’s relegation fight.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are thought to value the striker at £40m.
Strand Larsen has scored three league goals this season for bottom-placed Wolves.
The 25-year-old impressed last year after joining from Celta Vigo.
His form previously attracted interest from Newcastle United.
West Ham are 18th and believe a new striker is essential.
They are set to loan Niclas Füllkrug to AC Milan.
Other targets include Ellis Simms and Haji Wright.
West Ham are also pushing to sign Adama Traoré from Fulham.
